Why does the skincare series of PSK use glass bottles widely?
This is the question that we are always asked by our loyal customers. The cost of a glass bottle is more expensive, its weight is heavier, and the shipping cost is also higher. Customers are also worried that the glass bottle will shatter when it accidentally drops off to the ground.
We all considered problems above when we were choosing the material of our containers. However, for the quality of skincare product inside, we rather bear more costs to stick to using glass bottles that can maintain the quality of our products more effectively.
First, the transparency of glass bottle takes on high visibility. Non-toxic, high hardness, and other features such as non-ventilated, heat, Alkali and acid resistant, all let glass bottles have good storage performance. Thus, in terms of package, glass is often the top priority for food, medicine, and beverage. Second, the surface treatment technique of glass can achieve a quite exquisite level. No matter is the safety, quality protection, or the package texture can all significantly improve the customer experience.
Lastly, according to the Environmental Protection Administration in Taiwan, the biggest benefit of glass bottle is its original material, “glass,” which is 100% recyclable and reusable. Besides, if glass can properly be recycled and reproduced in fusion, compared to using new materials, it can decrease 38% of energy consumption. It is arguably the most renewable and environmentally-friendly packing material. Little is known that the recycling rate of glass in Taiwan is second in the world. It is up to 92%, which is second only to the 99% of Sweden.
Based on the aforementioned considerations of safety, quality, and the trait of recyclability, those are the original intention of PSK that we dismiss plastic bottle, and insist on using glass one.
Therefore, PSK also hopes that our dear customers, please do not directly drop the bottles of PSK into trash cans when you use up your skincare products, for glass bottles can be recycled! First, remove the bottle cap, and then use water to wash to clean the interior of the bottle. Lastly, take out the bottles into the recycling truck or bin.
